Bernice Liu Spends Birthday Filming For Nike

For 2008, Nike will be launching a new "Just Do It" marketing campaign in Asia targeting women to highlight the importance of women's sports in the continent. To promote the theme of "This Is Love", the company has arranged for Taiwanese popular singer and heartthrob Vaness Wu (吳建豪) to write a theme song for the campaign, titled "She's Not Sorry". The music video for the upbeat and passionate song was filmed earlier this month, with Nike's Asian spokesmodel Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) as the female lead.

As director, producer, choreographer and male lead, Vanness expressed that dance is a method of conveying one's body language and it is like magic that can captivate the viewer. He added that he hoped that the song combined with the rhythm of the dance and the lyrics would show the irresistable charms of the female form.

Details from the shoot were revealed to the press yesterday and Bernice revealed that she had gone to Taiwan to take part in the video shoot. The day of the shoot (06 January 2008) also happened to be Bernice's birthday, so there was a short break when the crew presented her with a birthday cake. However, she was very professional and quickly returned to work to complete the shoot.

In the video, Bernice depicts the story of a dancer, who overcomes many failures and obstacles to achieve her goals. Vanness was extremely serious about the shoot and paid attention to every detail. With such a strong driving force behind her, Bernice was able to perform to her best and show the determination representative of a modern woman.

Vanness And Bernice 'Just Do It'

Vanness Wu (吴建豪) and Bernice Liu (廖碧兒) appeared at a Nike promotional event at APM today.

Vanness revealed that he took on the role of director for the first time when filming the music video for his upcoming single "She's not Sorry". Bernice too, has a role in the music video.

Recently, Vic Chou (周渝民), through his manager, announced his separation from girlfriend Barbie Tsui (徐熙媛). Although being one of Vic's JVKV bandmates and good friends, Vanness admited that he did not know of the news, because they had not been in contact lately, but said that when he returns to Taiwan, he will contact Vic.

Asked if he will be comforting Vic, Vanness expressed that he will do what a friend should do. When further asked if he will be introducing girls to Vic, Vanness said he feels that every person is in a different state of mind after a break up, and pointed out that the reporters were too cruel, asking him to introduce girls to Vic so soon after ther break-up. Vanness explained that he isn't quite clear on the details of Vic and Barbie's break up, so he will have to look into it later on.

Bernice revealed that she has given up her last birthday and the last three Valentine's Days to work for Nike. She went on to praise Vanness for being highly professional, and said she believed that those who can dance are more capable of interaction and are hence better at expressing themselves. When asked if rumored boyfriend Moses Chan (陳豪) knew how to dance, Bernice said that she does not know.
