Zhu Xiao Tian musical charms have once again conquered the Japanese fans. He had his “I-Ken 2008 Getting Real” Solo Concert last March 8-9 at the Tokyo International Forum. He and his fans were “high” dancing and singing until the very end of his concert. This made him feel very touched even at the very start of his concert and he couldn’t help but kneel down to show his gratitude.
Challenged himself to learn the Japanese Drum
Last year’s concert was a spectacular event, and this led Zhu Xiao Tian to challenge himself to bring the same kind of spectacular performance. For the first time he has cooperated with a Japanese musical team and for this concert he gave his Japanese fans a pleasant surprise by learning the Japanese drums. During the performance he dared not lower his guard, he has been studying how to play the drums for about a month already. The teacher was worried about his physical strength and suggested that he start practicing for two hours 1st on the first day, however he was very anxious to achieve something and started to practice 4 hours from the first day and didn’t mind the blisters on his hand.
He practiced diligently for nearly a month; he gave a ten-minute performance on stage; he played first and was accompanied by 6 other drummers later. The audience was holding their breath concentrating on his performance, when the performance ended he received a very enthusiastic applause from the audience. Aside from giving a very energetic drum performance, he also arranged to perform his favorite jazz songs and while singing the audience watched the different scenes he took with his camera.
